Good design should earn its place in someone’s home, work, or day.
Alexis's interest in business and design started in high school. She designed her senior class shirts and took every business course she could with Mrs. Loretta Burgess, including banking, accounting, and enterprise management. She was interested in the numbers, decisions, and systems behind a business, but she was equally interested in making things look and feel right.
That combination continued throughout her career. She learned traditional and digital painting, spent more than fifteen years working with apparel and graphics, and expanded into sublimation, laser engraving, custom products, and home goods. Professionally, she built a career in project management and client-services leadership within govtech, leading implementation, customer success, support, integrations, process improvement, and practical uses of AI.
The artist who wanted to design T-shirts became a leader who could also build the systems behind the business. Cedar Creek gives both sides of that experience room to work together.
Garrett is a mechanical engineer and Oklahoma State University graduate with more than a decade of hands-on and leadership experience across construction, renewable energy, transmission, oil and gas, and mechanical service work. He has progressed from field and technical roles into construction management, owner-representative project management, and senior construction diligence.
His experience includes constructability and site diligence, permitting and utility-crossing coordination, pricing and management approval preparation, project risk reduction, cost and production reporting, procurement, subcontractor and supplier coordination, progress-payment review, quality documentation, field problem-solving, and project kickoff and closeout. He understands both the executive decision and what it takes to make that decision work in the field.
He is also the technical lead behind much of Cedar Creek's 3D-printing work. He applies an engineer's approach to turning ideas into functional designs, selecting materials, refining prints, troubleshooting production, and combining 3D printing with woodworking, laser engraving, and other production methods.
Long before his current career, Garrett also helped run a profitable family seasonal business. That practical owner experience matters at Cedar Creek: plans have to work financially, operationally, and for the people expected to carry them out.
Our experience is different but closely connected. We both understand how to evaluate an idea, identify risk, create a realistic plan, and carry the work through. Our children are part of Cedar Creek too, contributing their interests and ideas while learning what it takes to build something useful.
